This was the rig I used for animation in "One More Fright", a minecraft parody:
This rig is being uploaded by popular demand. The rig and model is being released as CC-0, so you are free to use or manipulate as you like. You do not have to give credit, but if you want to you could state: "Character model and rigging by Patrick W. Crawford, TheDuckCow". You may not however imply that you are the original creator of these models.
This is minecraft rig with a specialized "fancy feet rig", where the foot automatically rocks on a level surface defined by the rotation of the according foot IK target. While rocking is normally easy to accomplish with humanoid rigs, the desired effect in this minecraft cartoon character is to have the rotation of the foot be the same as the rotation of the lower leg while still having IK control.
Video explaining my approach and how it is accomplished:
>> The rig contains at least one set of constraints that are not purely world-space or purely local space; the end point is the rig behaves undesirably when pointed 90
º off the Z axis from the rest position: the feet "slips upwards". This is easily seen by rotation the BodyCenter.MAIN bone; the demo animation also highlights where this happens.
