After building a variety of other WW2 fighter aircraft I turned to one of the most famous The Spitfire. This model is in the same build style as my P40 and P51, I concentrate on the overall render, not small model details. So again it is fairly low poly (74313 faces) texture UV unraped and packed with the file, again composited and animated camera pass. Hope you enjoy using it or those who download.
ps here is the link to where I have used this model in a VFX project

I would be happy for you to use this, just credit me as outlined in the licence section :)... take a look at my Me 109 too, you may want to use that as well :). Let me know how your project comes along. I appreciate you wanting to use my work, thanks.
May I use it in a short film I am making? And maybe also a game? I'll put your name in the credits for all your fighter planes.
Grriet132, there should be textures as they are embedded into the file, it uses Blender internal renderer so you would have to extract them and reconfigure for cycles if that is you problem. I know others have downloaded and used it so the textures should be there.
there isnt any textures in the folder, all it shows is:
BLENDSWAP_LICENSE Spitfire (blender file) Spitfire (3d Object)
Apologies, it did indeed seem that the textures did not imbed with the file, I have re-uploaded hope this sorts the problem.
is there a way to move this to cycles render without the textures disappearing or move it from the original file without the textures disappearing
G'day mate! I'm using your really nice spitfire model for a video on YouTube that I will composite into real life footage, but I can't get it to render correctly. When I attempt to get a preview of the render all I get is black, same thing when I render the animation.
EDIT: Nevermind I figured it out, mate it's a terrible time jsut not knowing what's going wrong with things. In the end I just went into the "Render Layers" tab in properties and fiddled around with the layer options, turns out the layer with the actual plane on it was deselected and blender was instead just rendering the propeller and nothing else. Here's a picture of what turned out to be the resolution for my problem https://imgur.com/a/s4mfZWF

James, what a brilliant model. I had been looking for a timeless aircraft to use for a bge flight controller. Heres a link to my flight controller with your model
how do i paint the model? for some reason he is just white for me
I can't get this to do anything useful. What needs fixing in order to get this to render anything?
