A cool high detail warp gate or other cool SciFi use. Originally done in 3dsMax and brought over for the blender community.
For the ring interior detail I used a modifier called Greeble for 3ds max, I am not sure if there is an equivalent for blender or not. The external boxes were hand modeled and just duplicated around the ring.
where did you find the disscombobulator that will work in the 6's.or did you make it in 49b and update it. very nice,very nice.
You can use displacement modelling in Blender. http://www.blendtuts.com/displacement_uvs_sculpt It gives you a pretty cool result with little effort.
This one is very cool. How did you model it? I mean any tricks or did you just spend a day on detail tedium?
