Test scene to show how to use shadow caustics for stained glass windows.
Texture for the window is gathered from the wild, do not use for commerical purposes.
A simple test, but it clearly shows how light interacts with the material in a smooth and deep way. If you expand this into a full scene or animation, it could be really interesting. It has a gentle and accessible feel similar to Block Blast, but with a more artistic tone.
Interesting Blender 3.0x stained-glass material setup by themikepan! The shadow caustics trick using Cycles render really makes it pop. Reminds me of the intense focus needed when aiming in Ragdoll archers ; precise light and shadow matter. Just a heads-up that the texture's CC-BY but for personal use only, so avoid commercial applications. 665 downloads and 42 likes show it's a winner.
