This is a simple model of the important edge loops that you need in a character in order for it to deform correctly. This is based off of David Ward's tutorial on how to model a human head.
There is a colored version with named materials for all the different loops and another that can be used as a modeling base mesh.

Nice idea! That can be great help for beginners! Maybe you could include some loops for nose also?
