This is my latest completed project. The original car is already a crazy mix (Lotus Elise front end and chassis, Corvette ZR1 engine and some incredible skills to adapt the engine to chassis), and I just made it crazier by doing a convertible version of it.
It's a heavy weight model, more than 3M polys when including the stitches on seats and doors. The layers are organized as follow :
1: body with all details
2: wheels
3: interior, no stitches
4: stitches
The whole progress of this project, from early begginning to the completed model you see here, is available at http://www.smcars.net/forums/smcars-goes-topless-2010-summer-contest/33741-topless-hennessey-venom-gt.html. This project was made for the 2010 summer "Topless" contest held at SMCars.net.
Very cool and impressive model. Certainly a long time passed to make it ...
I'm glad you like them.
Kike sanz, don't feel ashamed. I've come a long way from my first car models to this.
SlykDrako, thanks !
Wax, 3 or 4 months but far from being a fulltime job. And I spent many hours on a tunnel scene I didn't use eventually.
Unique : I can make it real for 10 M
Thanks Tom for great car. I have used it for Mitsuba render test. Here is link http://bartoszstyperek.wordpress.com/2012/10/07/mitsuba-exporter-1-0/
Awesome. FYI, Hennessey now has a Venom GT Spyder. I wonder if they got the idea from you. beautiful job.
I think I might use this as the best car in a video game I'm making.
is this low poly?im making a video game and i want a car to drive around
Could you explain how you made those stitches. I know one method using a curve. I dont seem to understand your setup. It seems to look like a particle system or something like it, but aint no Psystem???
Okay i found it... wow never used that object>duplication. Nice, thanks!
Awsome Model. I dont understand the setup of the seem too. Can I know how was it made?
