    Instagram definitely keeps that hidden on purpose but it's such useful data for creators. I was posting randomly without understanding what my audience actually wanted until I found ways to see who unfollowed me on instagram through external tracking. It was shocking to discover that some of my most liked posts were actually causing people to unfollow while posts with fewer likes were gaining followers. The engagement metrics Instagram shows you don't tell the whole story about whether people actually want to keep seeing your content. Now I can adjust my posting strategy based on real follower behavior instead of just guessing what works
