Hey, I know it's been a long time, but I finally took the time to "finish" Yoda and update him completely to Cycles and make all kinds of other improvements. I have been working on him off and on for 12 years , and updating him with new features and as my skills have increased. I estimate this is iteration 600+ of this model (at least). I've spent hundreds and maybe even a thousand hours perfecting and learning how to model/light/animate better. I hope you can find a good use and please do share with me anything you do! I'd love to see it! Some directions are in a text file when you first open the file up, but I'm going to try to do a quick video tutorial at some point in the not too distant future.

Edited February 22, 2012Oh man I am so happy I found this!! I used your model in a logo I made several years back, I think it's the best thing! I am so sorry I wasn't able to credit you - somehow, through the process of animating and moving him from scene to scene (I wasn't exactly the most efficient Blender user back then) I had lost the credit info... Also, the updated 2.56 version just needs a few more tweaks. Hoping to have him up here middle of next week.

Edited May 11, 2017This was rigged just using my own limited knowledge of rigging. There are a few IK handles for arms (connected to hands) each finger, each toe, legs (connected to feet) and upper and lower mouth. I tried to rig him in a way (especially the face) that would give puppet like movements, that to say, there isn't the amount of control that you would normally have for a 3d animated character, but I was trying very much to walk the line between modern animated model, but still be rooted in a puppet style performance, so that any animation I make would kind of bridge that gap.
