DIY Lightsaber v1.1 Fan Art

Description:

I was messing around with the new EEVEE render engine and wanted to create a lightsaber. The problem was that, while cool looking, EEVEE's bloom effect was rather limited and had some artifacts. With that... i created my OWN "bloom" effect for a lightsaber. I then decided to start setting it up to be easy to use for others and upload it here. Feel free to use this for your own renders and even pull it apart to see how it works. There is also an ester-egg. Its nothing malicious, just a little joke i pit in on a whim (hint- need a hand? ;P)

EDIT:v1.1 adds some of the controls for the volumetric effect to the main material node. these let you shift the glow up and down the blade as well as expand or shrink it. keep in mind it is quite easy to lose track of the glow's position. if that happens just set glow Y scale/offset to roughly 3.3 and 1.5 respectively
