This tank was the soviet reaction to the German Tiger 1. Before this tank's turret was produced the Soviets mounted an 85 mm gun in the hull of a T-34 which resulted in the SU-85. After the turret was put into production the D-5 anit-air gun was mounted and later it got upgraded to the ZIS-S-53 85mm anti-tank gun. Armourwise the tiger was a lot stronger, but the T-34-85 had its mobility to make up for the lack of armour. In a real-life situation the first one to spot the other would win, which probably would mean that the Tiger would win. Russian tanks have always been notorious for having very bad vision.
---HOW TO IMPORT THE MODEL TO OUR OWN PROJECT--- Shift+F1 in your own project -> locate the file -> select the blend file -> Object -> For the full resolution model chose: 'Single object model', 'Single object suspension', 'Right/Left Track', 'Right/Left Track Guide'. Unless you plan on making modifications I wouldn't advise to import the other objects because it will only make a huge mess in you project and increase render times The file includes some precedural materials which, just as the model, you can use as you wish. They are based on the textures from this youtube video (with download for all the procedural textures): /watch?v=qGhN4g2YjN4
