Rigged 3D model of Nick Wilde from Zootopia.
(I'm not even lying much if I say that this is actually my first ever fully rigged character model)
Yes. That's because of the cloth physics, so you always have to start from the default pose and leave 10 or so frames and then do the pose you want, then you can animate the tie and it should follow the rig naturally.
thanks my friend i will adicted credits to you on my animation
I can't recommend this if you are new. This is not user friendly in the first place and it's even less new user friendly.
But if you really want to try. Just download it, unpack the files and then you just open the NickWilde.Blend in Blender. I don't know if I can explain it any better than that.
For the beginner it is very difficult to do at least the first animation. You should study the program before animation something.
I guess I should have read the note in the blend :) Removing transparency on the fur helped a lot.
well, no matter what hardware you have, any rendering will be slowed by mostly Smoke/Fog, and Fur
in this case, this model has a lot of fur, so unless you have a $1000-$15000 invidia Quadro, something of equivalency, or just a LOT of time and a spare computer, I would recommend using this model to render single images instead of animations.
Trust me, it's going to lag no matter what. Even on my Mid/High range PC it lags.
Really awesome, thank you for post this, even it isn't friendly is very realistic and when a look at this amazing work i see Nick not a copy.
friend, when are you gonna put the pads on Nick wilde's paws? you have to redesign the shape of the legs, you have made them very long and thick in the parts of the fingers, also the head you have made very flat, your ears look flat, you also need to improve the size of the tail of nick wilde, It's very short, when you start redesigning nick wilde again?
Hey, maybe I can upload a new enhanced version of your model. just let me work in there. ;)
I hope you haven't got too far yet, I will upload my final version in a few days.
I think you did an amazing job with this RIG! the only thing that was missing (or I couln't find it) is IK arms. I added them by following thousands of tutorials. XD
Do I have your permission to upload my version? I wouldn give you all credits for this, so I wouln't take any credit for it.
Its just a question. If you deny then its ok, because its your work.
Yea yea, it's ok. I actually have a version of him that has improved render performance and some other little tweaks to his look. I haven't uploaded him because I used some normal maps that I'm not allowed to share (and I kinda forgot him anyway.)
So if you don't mind doing the arms again I will upload the final version in a few days.
It looks has real as if you were the person who built Nick from the movie!! :)
Hey my friend on youtube wants to make his own version of zootropolis called Animaltropolis but in 3D so can you create some blends figures from my idea plz do it and animate
Can you create some blends figures from my idea because my friend that on youtube he wants to create a 3D animated fan film of zootropolis but called Animaltropolis
Can you create blender figures because my friend on youtube wants to create his own version of zootropolis but called Animaltropolis i just want to ask if you want to take part of makung Animaltropolis. Plz do respond
Here to improve the fur texture https://youtu.be/JysKjqKk8kw and https://youtu.be/EVj1fETtuN8 and https://youtu.be/zaqmn55w4IA
You should download these real animation apps http://download.cnet.com/design-animation/ and do you know how to animated blender or make animations
Can you help me with the textures? I tried to convert them to PNGs but I get outlines and coloring issues along edges of the UV textures. I cannot seem to fix them

This is awesome! Detailed models like these are rare to find! (Or it's just me having it difficult Hah) Is there a version where he still has his whole body under the clothes? (It is so much easier to learn the flow of adding custom clothing with a body to follow)
I've noticed similar issues with the textures having outlines and issues on the UV edges. Is there any way you could make the same atlas but with more feathering?
This model looks neat, but the download button unfortunately appears to be broken.
It’s possible to use the avatar on VRchat and you can help me? I don’t know really much of 3D modelling
Someone can like rig it for VRchat for me?
Please help me I tried so much and I can’t do it
I download your 3D model of Nick Wilde, and it is great! I had a few suggestions for you though. I love the idea of that model being out there for free. I was looking for a character I could practice my animating skills on, and I love foxes, so I found yours. After messing with it for a while, I noticed a few things. For some reason, it makes my computer go REALLY slow, while Blender's Rain V2 model works fine on my 4GBs RAM. And as you said in the note, the rig is a mess! No offense, I couldn't do better if I tried. I suggest getting another Blender Head who is good at rigging to help you. The said person would probably do it for free, even. It is just way too hard to use for anything other than just playing around with. And, I had a few things I noticed that would make the model looks more like the one in the movie.
The fur is too well kept; it kind of looks like a mat. If you look at screen shots of the original character, Nick's fur is much rougher and more ragged around the neck, and really, all over. His fur is also longer in the original.
The white fur needs to fade in a little more to the red on the muzzle.
The eyes need to be able to open all the way. In some scenes, Nick's eyes open all the way, and the eye lids seem to disappear.
There is no tongue bone. Might never be used, but in special cases, such as if the mouth is open for a while in shock or surprise, it would be helpful.
There is not throat. Again, might never be seen, but say the character was looking in the mirror down his mouth? Or was at the hospital getting his mouth checked?
The corner of the mouth should not be a point; it is more rounded in the original.
The color of Nick's fur is more red than orange originally, but I am being nitpicky.
The three dots on the side of the muzzle are a little too prominent.
The eyebrows are too to bold. They should be lighter, and a little bit wider as well.
There is no bone for the toes.
And, if you wanted it to be indistinguishable from the original, you could make the design on his shirt less prominent.
Again, I'm not judging, just trying to help! You have something great here, but with a little more work, it would as perfect as could be with Blender. If I were better at Blender, I would fix it and send it to you myself. I will see if I can do something though! Thanks for the model!

i'd say good work overall even though as you said it's not the easiest rig to use. even so the only thing i'd say is a problem is that most of his tie doesn't seem to be affected by any bones so it doesn't move with anything.
