This is a fully procedural painted metal shader. No textures or UV unwrapping required.
It's all contained in one node with customisable options such as paint amount and grunge amount.
Enjoy!
Tip: when changing the tiling, alter the mapping node before the noise scale, as the latter does not alter the bump map.
This is incredible. It's amazing that this doesn't use any textures. Thank you so much.
Awesome work! And THANK YOU for adding the frames in the node - it helps a LOT to understand what each group is doing so it's easier to make changes! Beautiful!!!
Still trying to really understand this great looking materal. Still works, even in EEVEE! One thing I've found in Blender 2.8 release version though - if expand the node to check things out, all the colour disappears and I can't get it back. Makes it hard to understand the nodes! Maybe someone who knows what they're doing could fix this?
I was at a laundromat in Chicago, watching my clothes spin. I looked up game twist to pass the time. I started playing a classic slot, but my balance was dropping fast. I was annoyed and ready to stop. Then, I hit a lucky streak of spins. I won a surprising amount of money, enough to cover my laundry for the year and then some. It was a great feeling to turn a chore into a winning session.
This is awesome, thanks for sharing.
