OK, here we go! I couldn't resist to publish this. I labeled it version 1, because I can do better than this, but I have to start over, from scratch. For the reef itself I used the sculpt mode for the first time. The water is just a plane with the ocean modifier and a water shader with volumetric absorption. For the palm tree I gave Eon's Plant Factory a quick shot, exported to fbx, made some adjustments in Blender and fixed the faulty shader. I hope you like it. There's a lot of room for improvement, so go ahead and tweak it... and don't hesitate to post your critics and I'll try to do much better with version two ;)
Amazing... well done! I was born on an island, so I should know ; D
Amazing work, thank you for sharing with us : )
Cheers, Rex
Born on an island, eeehh? Now I'm curious :) The only islands I have ever seen are the Canary Islands, well... technically I spent part of my childhood on Monkey Island, lol :D
Woah! This is unreal. Welp, I have like an i3 processor laptop only, so yay, Gunna render this.
Its really beautiful, but you forgot the coral reef.. Im from tahiti ; the coral reef is everything for an island lagoon : fish, shark, ray, beautiful colors ^^
btw, those are not palm trees, those look like BANANA TREES to me with palm tree trunk ...
Cool man! Thanks for sharing :D
