Just a simple piece of one of my artworks, demonstrating a stylized SSS shader for Cycles GPU rendering, and also a simple hair shader for educational purposes. It also contains diffuse-textures and normal-maps used to achieve the final result.
Wow! This looks amazing.
thanks :) hope you can learn something from it ;) or find something of interest.
lol. You have a good sense of bragging. Nice model BTW. Skin and hair looks nice for semi realistic cartoon character.

Thank you, very educational.
Wow Rico, you're a beast, thanks for sharing
Damn, I've learned more from this blend that any tutorial so far. May I just ask, how do you do the textures and in what order? I've tried some texturing gimmicks with gimp(like layering a bump onto a diffuse), but I still feel like I am missing something, although I may just have to actually "git gud" at painting skin textures by hand.
But good blend nonetheless and will definitely further my current project.
I ran out of bandwidth to download and then I found this! Argh! Now I have to wait til next month to download! It looks so cool! I hope this can teach me a few things for my own animations.
Amazing! I think I'll try to use your SSS shaders into some projects, I hope you don't mind :)
