I always think interior scenes look empty without little background objects. This was going to be a background detail in a kid's room. I don't know what use anyone would have for a ceramic unicorn, but ehhhhh. The model is a modified version of a CC-0 blend here: http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/48199 The materials are very simple because I didn't want them to take up much rendering time since this could really conceivably only work as a background object. It's also pretty lowpoly. Subsurf modifiers aren't applied. It's about 8 inches long so it's to scale.
This is a good model. Complements, MariamAHoyt. I'm planning to use this model for my game if its okay with you. :)
I just wanted to say that there's uses for models you'd never expect! I was pleased to find this cartoonish but elegant little Unicorn! I've used it in an E-Juice banner for vaping on our website and it worked perfectly! Just changed a few materials and rigged them up for posing! :D
Since the banner was just released today I don't feel comfortable uploading elsewhere for viewing, nor do I like the weird feeling of sharing a for-profit website because then it feels like weird promotion (even though we're a distribution and don't deal with the general consumer).
If you're interested I can message you a link though! :D I was just really excited to let you know that it is getting more use!
Looks really nice. I think even the simple materials work well...the gold accents look just like the gold paint used on ceramics that I've seen, and the ceramic itself is very convincing.
