Sound is a vibration that propagates as an audible mechanical wave of pressure and displacement, through a medium such as air or water.
I always wondered how pianos work. So I did some reasearch and created this video. Hope you like it.
The piano model itself is a modified model from andreschneider's Pianos blend published under the CC-BY licence.
Wow! Many years ago (back in the early 70s) I took a master class on piano tuning at the local community college in Phoenix, AZ. I learned to tune using equal temperament and a bit about regulating the piano action. You a great job creating and animating it! Thank you for sharing!

Ok, good. I don't own piano myself so I can't really tell if it can look exactly like this inside. Based it off wikipedia and google images. Thanks a lot. :)
Sweet! (This may be just what I need to finally figure all this out! ;-) ) Nice video too.
Thank you for sharing! Peace.
How these mechanisms work. I have always had this vague notion of how a piano translates a key press into a string being struck, now I can work it out in gloriously animated 3D! Always curious about how things work...
Very well done. I showed it to my father, who is repairing and tuning pianos for a living, and he said everything is correct in the video.
Really awesome! Good job!
