Mix shader by Color ID Texture (sharp)

Description:

Given a Shader associated to a Color, the node setup mask the imput Color ID texture and mix a Base Shader with the new one (sharply).

    Very nice, I was looking for something like this so i can use my object id and channel id pass from a different renderer inside blender.

    PS how can i append this in a new file, doesnt seem to work

    Great, This is so helpful with mechanical parts. Absolutely essential. I don't know how to attach pics, if I did I would add one of the nodes and the result. Thanks very much!

    PS rombout, if you append from mix by color id_sharp.blend, go to nodetree and pick the 'mix by color' group, and hit the append from library button, upper right. the node group will be in the node graph under add groups. Be sure you are in the cycles renderer.
