Final Fantasy VII Cloud's Fusion Sword Fan Art

This is the base of Cloud's Fusion Sword(s), as seen in Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. It is almost completly untextured, I might fix this later.

I actually started modelling this with all of it's other parts in Google SketchUp (It was still owned by Google then. :P). You can still find the orginal model on the 3d Warehouse sevice of SketchUp here. Anyway, that was about 5 years ago, and it took me around 3 months to finish it. Then, about 4 years ago, when I started with Blender, I exported the base of the swords to blender and overhauled it to it's current state. After that, it just lay there on my hard-drive for three years. So I thought why not upload it?

Since I uploaded the original Base Sword to the site, I though I might as well go all the way and complete the whole set. Modeled and rigged all the new parts in around a week.

Controls: Hit CTRL+A to start a small animation in which the basic control for all the sword pieces are shown. Other than that, play around with them and you will understand soon, as they are quite easy rigs. Contact me if you have problems.

Note: Although I tried to remain as true to the orginal as possible, I took some liberties in the design here and there because it is almost impossible to discern the proper shape, size and design from the fast moving action scenes in the movie. Also, currently there is a problem with the rigs drifting behind the objects, which I think is because I have parented the rigs to the objects. Maybe I will fix in the future.
