Description:

Hi!

This is a Procedural, somewhat realistic-unrealistic Heated Metal Material, for the purpose of creating a cinematographic, appealing kind of burning metal.

Inside the blend file there are instructions on how to use it. I encourage you to read them. I tried to make the node-setup as easy as possible but it has a lot of inputs to play around. Raw node setup to simplified node setup

Everything that is on sight is able to be changed.

I hope you find this material useful, and you can use it for whatever purpose you want, as long as you give proper credit to the author of the material. Me! :)

I am very proud that you guys like the material. If you want to composite something cool on blender, using the sunbeams node with this material is really awesome! You can see it on the second Image I uploaded :)

Awesome material, this could also be a technique for the surface of a star with sunspots. Really great node setup!

For some reason this material making blender crash when I try to view it in material mode. It was working a few weeks back and I've tried a bunch of fixes so I'm not sure if it a me problem or a problem with the material

Nice job! I used the material to create a lava effect by applying it to a fluid with a low viscosity level.

    Hi Alvaro,

I'm currently trying to get your texture, but Blendswap says I am out of credits for this month. I tried to re-create your texture from scratch with the pictures of your node setups but I can't see the detail when I zoom in. Is it possible to upload larger pictures of the node setups?

The texture is unbelievable man...I actually think it's the best I have ever seen compared to anything in Blender.

    Thanks!
