Description:

Double hung window. Both sashes can be moved, with constraints, and latch can be rotated. Glass texture allows the sun to shine through, lighting the floor, but still be reflective of the ceiling light. Sky has procedural clouds (slightly visible through the window). With ceiling texture, floor tiles, and simple ceiling light. Everything is procedural except the grass outside the window. That is a texture I found packed inside http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/42499 though not used in the example picture.

All this is from a larger project I am making that includes many objects I got from Blend Swap, so I wanted to put together the parts that I made myself and give them back.

    Awning windows are a solid choice for rooms where you want ventilation without fully opening the window. They hinge at the top and push outward which means you can leave them open even during light rain without water coming in. I replaced a few of my old sliding windows with awning style last summer and the airflow is way better. Checking options for Awning windows Canada at https://windowtechcanada.ca/awning-windows/ helped me compare different frame materials and sizes. Installation took about half a day for three windows. They seal tighter than my old ones so less drafts in winter. The crank mechanism is simple and hasn't given me any problems. Good for bathrooms or kitchens where you want privacy but still need air circulation
