So, this is my latest scene, it's been done with the purpose of seeing how my skills evolved since my last lighthouse scene (the first, old one) and also for building a porfolio for my college applications, so i'd appreciate any constructive criticism on what could be changed or better worked on since i want this one to be as good as it can be before i'm ready to apply. Thanks in advance.

Rendered with Cycles at 100.000 Samples.

Beware, the scene may not load well on some older machines, the viewport is quite loaded, if asked, i could release a stripped down version.

Hi, I didb't open blend, but you should work more on thunder an rain, Just Google thunder photos and you will understand what I mean, the same goes with rain. I see in the sky that scene is not meant to be hyperrealistic but it has to be convincing. I hope this comment helps ;)))

I'm not an expert but In my humble opinion, I'd say that it needs some fog and the ground looks as it were plastic. Other things like @tom said. Sometimes my imagination starts to wander: the lightning ray looks a walking tree, or something like that :). Just keep practicing. Perfection comes with the time. There is a good tutorial about rain simulation in Youtube, but I don't know exactly the link. Regards.
