wow this is a great style and I really dig the flat shading. I wish i could create like this so you have inspired me!
I think I started with Skin modifier to get the limbs length and proportions, then I started modelling the naked body. Once I was happy, I modelled the clothes and deleted the skin beneath (it was a pitty, but served as a model for the clothes). Then I colored the polygons with different materials (super lazy way hehe) and started rigging and animation. For the weighting, I usually don't weight-paint, but assign vertex groups manually. While animating, I had to tweak vertex weight individually! That's the downside of low-poly :)

Thank you! It's unfinished though... I was following Nathan Vegdahl's Humane Rigging course, but I didn't implement the sweet FK - IK switch, nor finished the torso slide. I'm learning better now and I'm willing to update it :)
Let me know if I'm missing something, but there doesn't seem to be an option to rotate the foot around the ball. The toe tap is there, but for pulling the foot off the ground, how do you life the heel while keeping the ball contact??

many of the bones are hidden, open up the layers in the aramture tab
7-Zip cannot unzip the downloaded zip file. Also the links to the "animation videos" and "more information" pages are broken. Is this an orphan?
