Someone on G+ asked how to rig a recurve bow. I found one here originally by signguy. I decided to rig it, based on the CG Masters rig here. This rig allows the rope to wrap around the bow to avoid clipping.
The blend is not packed, so it is zipped in its own folder with external images. Bow is grouped and ready to link for animation. Rig includes controllers to rotate the bow from each tip. Do not put a subsurf modifier on the string or it won't deform properly.

Written October 18, 2014I likely disabled mesh selection in the outliner. Go to the outliner and simply toggle the mouse cursor icon next to the mesh pieces. The icons will become lighter when the objects are selectable.
