Description:

Hours of work.

Some of these are actual stars, like the grand star, the star and star (used), the Shine Sprite (unused and used), the Ztar is real too.

Fan Art is the Grand Shine (I don't think there's one anyway) the Dark Shine, cause there is no Ztar for the shine sprite, and the Grand Ztar.

Ask me any question about any of the stars in the blend, I'll answer them.

Nicely done. I gather that they are something to do with Super Mario and that Ztars appear in the Mario Party series.

Please could you explain some more about how and where they appear?

    Thank you. And sure.

The small yellow and blue stars (upper left/middle) appear in Super Mario 64 and DS. The yellow star also appears in Mario Party 1 - 8 and DS and Mario Kart and Super Mario Brothers (2-D plat former). The Grand Star (middle left) appears in Super Mario Galaxy 1/2 and Super Mario 64 and DS, tho in 64 and DS it doesn't have the spheres at the tips. The Ztar (Upper right) first appeared in Super Mario RPG as an attack by bosses. In Mario Party 1 - 3 it's just a waste of coins. It hosts Volleyball in MP4. In MP5 - 8 and DS it subtracts 1 star from your star count. The Shine Sprite (Lower left and middle) Is in Super Mario Sunshine (and online fan game Super Mario 63). The Grand Ztar (middle right) is just fan art, as there is no such thing. So is the Grand Shine (complete center). The Dark Shine (Lower right) is also fan art, as there is no Ztar counterpart for the Shine Sprite. It's just what I think a Shine Sprite Ztar would look like. "Mini Stars" and Mini Ztars" appear in MP9 instead of Stars and Ztars.

    Anything else you wanna know?

Oh, the yellow stars also appear in the super mario galaxy games. Only smaller and gold, not yellow. Some secret stars in SMG/2 are green. The blue stars/shines basically tell you that you've gotten that star/shine already. In SMG/2 it's just the outline of the star.

And I mean "gold" and "Green" as in "Metallic"

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I couldn't find more than two images in my google images search :-) I've never played any of the Nario or Super Mario games (or at least I don't remember!)

You're welcome. I'm in the middle of my next blend: SMG/2 stars (new, used, green, and grand) and the MP9 mini (S/Z)tars. :)
