This scene has originally been made for a rendering with the software Mitsuba. However, I wanted to compare the results with Blender and redesigned it for Cycles. Let me know if you like it!
Looks very realistic, if a little blurred, though this would be correct for a background shot.
How long did it take to render?
Hi! Thank you for your comment! Well with 500 samples it took me 1 day for 1980x720 pixels. However, I think that 100 samples and a noise filter can offer the same result.
The more I look at it, the more amazed I am. It really is good :-)
When I open up the blend file the trees are all pink, why is that?
Probably because it cannot access to the textures. Did you uncompressed the zip?
New Learner at blender downloading in hopes of learing to use
Looks stuning. I will try to use it as level if i succeed you are getting a credit!
firstly i was worrying about the file size, and the rendering time it would take, but after i saw the results, i was stunned. Awseome work....
I can't open this, it crashes my video card every time.
Same for me. I thought I had a powerfull laptop, but this blend file is defintely huge!Hope I can use it anyway. Thanx for this.
for some reason, I couldn't open the file lol ..an error saying "NVIDIA OpenGL driver lost connection", and blender crash just like that
What program did you use to make the tree ? Awesome scene btw
Same problem here. Nvidia driver crashes
The blur is done in the composite layer. Opens OK in 2.82. Renders in about 20 mins on an IMac Pro. Going to try a little animation on this one.
can i use your forest in my animated short film , i will give you credit . this is my dream
