Originally exported from makehuman, I modified all the shaders to look better in cycles and set up lighting and colormanagement to have a "film look". It has a basic rig which would work well with motion capture data.
I added fake sss using dirty vertex colors to mix in a translucent shader. It looks a bit better and doesn't affect the render time (still GPU renderable).

Written July 15, 2014Very well done, but I think that SSS gives a more realistic feeling than diffuse. Or maybe, we should mix both together, I don't know exactly, but you can be sure that Subsurface Scatering will improve the realism (and, obviously, the render time :P ). Anyway, the textures, hair, and rig are awesome, it is a real nice job ;)

Edited July 15, 2014It looks good, but I'd say that his right eye is too blurred and slightly spoils the effect. I love the shaders on the clothes and the texture of his collar, and the lips are great.

Written May 22, 2019very good however i find the face rig to basic. It is kinda useless if you want to animate since you can't make a good lip sync and he can't blink.

Looks very good, for a robot. I am not sure why, maybe just too symmentric and without wrinkels and so? Somehow the face does not show enough emotion to make it look like a human. Not that I could make it better...
