Written September 24, 2013Thanks for your appreciation. There are more lights on layer 2 if you want to lighten the scene (or you can even activate the environment lighting).
The sunken pool is named 'piscine'. Check the select option in the outliner. I often deactivate it to avoid unwanted moves when working on other objects.

Can't believe I missed the deactivated selection icons!
Great scene.
The lamps on their support chains and the bowl of fruit are all very lovely, but the darkness of the render doesn't do them justice. Perhaps a candle chandelier somewhere above to shed more light?
Now I have a question: how can I select the sunken pool?
