This is my notion of a second-generation Tumbler. I stole my favorite features from the original, and then mixed in a little 1989 flavor. I've also added some stuff of my own, such as the front bumper. If you're gonna be smashing through concrete barriers, you don't want tires at the leading edge of your vehicle:)

Looks cool, except I'd put that giant hole that's in the front to the back.

You've seen the original Batman, right? The "giant hole" you speak of is the jet intake. Observe: http://www.carstyling.ru/de/entry/Batmobile_1989/images/206/

That is amazing, props to you man

Your designs show a great deal of imagination and technical ability. I enjoy them very much. I think you focus more on concept/scifi until you have enough meshes to make a movie, then put out your own short movie. A halfway decent story put together with your awesome designs might help you break into the movie business. Thanks for your artistry.

Hah! When I saw this thumbnail I just knew it would be your doing :) Great job as always Chris!

I demand you stop out-performing yourself, dude. Are these all old files or do you have an insane ability to knock one out every couple of days?

lol... thanks, dude. No old files... did this one yesterday. It's easier when I don't have to follow a blueprint, but of course there are downsides to designing it as you go along. Also, I have a blend file filled with old parts and shapes that I use a lot. I never work from a cube anymore, and this really speeds things up.

Well I expect to see you on the next open movie team. Hopefully, I'll have finished the animation degree and meet you there. Would love to blend jam with you. (bad music reference)

Same here, dude. I'll do the vehicles, you do the characters:)

Agreed. I've been toying with the idea of rigging some of your models. Like the Attack Fighter from last week. TIme is an issue. Will let you know if I get round to it.

could you tell me how to create that render thing which shows vertex groups?

Yeah, it's really easy. If all you want is to see the lines, just add a new material and click "wireframe". You can also composite the wireframe with partial transparency over the base object on another layer. Since I only needed one image for the preview, I did it in Gimp. But you can play with the Node editor and get a nice effect. You can ever fade the wireframe into the model if you want. Depends how many hours you have to kill ;)

Really excellent -- like everyone said, you are on another level. So many just copy something already done -- you are making your own designs and modelling them -- way to go!

Yeah, really awesome work. Hold on, I love your high quality Blends ;)

Good Work,.. That Blend.. so heavy in my PC.. Actualy :D

Very nice model,i like the jet intake detail ,have you thinked to add some bat style wing at the end of the care on rear ,like one of the batmobile design? with some work may improve more the high quality of your work.

sorry i not check the english ,Very nice model,i like the jet intake detail ,have you thinked to add some bat style wings at the end on rear wheels ,like one of the batmobile design? with some work may improve more the high quality of your work.

Hey, thanks... yeah I did think about it. I was trying to bridge the gap between the Tumbler and the original Batmobile. I actually tried different kinds of wings but they all looked dumb to me so I settled on this. Maybe you can improve the design?

Your modeling skills are unmatched Chris. Keep them coming :D

A lot of work here! Great job! Keep it comin'!

great model but you have intersecting edges and mirrored on the half not the whole it would be good for looks but not for practical use

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "intersecting edges". Are you talking about one mesh extending into another one? That's completely intentional... saves lots of polys versus trying to connect everything. It's a bit annoying during texturing, but nothing that can't be handled. I'm not sure what you mean by "mirrored on the half not the whole", either... but certainly you can change that if you like. Just apply the modifiers, remove doubles, and "re-mirror" it however you prefer.

As for the "practical use" part... I guess that depends on what you have in mind. It's certainly not for gaming, but I've done some animations with it. You can always render-bake the model onto a lower poly version, though, if that's what you need.

Of course, you can always take the ideas you like and design your own... I'd love to see some of your work.
