I'm not sure what this vehicle is, but it seems to have lots of weapons on it:) I actually built it to do some UV unwrapping for Cycles, because most of my stuff was too high-poly. If anyone's interested, the techniques used to build this are in my new e-book here:

e-Book

This one didn't take too long to build, so I'll post it as CC0 - Do what you want with it.

Enjoy!

UPDATE: I found a couple of amazing videos that people have done with this model.... check them out:

1.) This is a great render by YouTube user "peko"... I take zero credit for this video, other than building the actual mesh. He did all the lighting, animation, rendering, etc. Just awesome.

2.) A "Free Culture" Anime video... the chopper comes in about halfway through the demo video. I'm not really an Anime fan, but this is professional quality stuff:

I'm just amazed by what people have done with this model... keep up the great work!

You're a freakin modelling machine Chris! Top stuff again.

A real cool design. One thing though, the model in the file is quite different from the picture. None of the weapons or landing gear are included. Poly count is 7,889 and there is no low poly count version on layer 2, at least not that I can find.

I was wondering the same thing. KUHN0362, we want to see the details!!

Doh! Problem fixed. Sorry about that.

You're a modeling machine Chris! With a bit of practice I'm sure you'll be just as good at texturing!

Great model dude. I don't know where you get the patience to do an entire fleet from Star Trek and now this.

Some of the guns could use more mechanics to visually facilitate articulation but thats something that anyone can add.

Thanks for sharing.

Don't tempt me, dude:)

Most of my stuff has a six-figure poly count for exactly this reason. I make something, and then I say, "You know... I could just add a little detail..."

WOW! I'll texture it if i can UV map it (please send if you have a UV mapped version!). I'll try to make a 4K texture to test my machine speed and stability and have pretty high-details according to the modelling :D

I technically do have a UV mapped version, but all I did was use Smart Projections. I'm still figuring out exactly how I want to do this.

By all means, though, if you want to texture it knock yourself out!

Nicely done! You are quick! Can't wait for the textures :-)

INCREDIBLE! the detail is outstanding! very well modeled with great use of ngons!

I think I am going to try texturing this as well. What do you use as textures? I have been trying to texture a model from the Google Warehouse, which I imported into Blender with the help of Vue 8 and ended up with a massive 8192x8192-Texure, which still looks blurry in some places. Disclaimer: I am an absolute beginner. Just started to use 3D-Software about 3 months ago...

This is an amazing model. Looking to buy your Ebook, great job. Looks phenomenal.

Hi! I think you might be interested to know that this model was used in Morevna Project Demo - http://morevnaproject.org/2012/11/10/the-demo-is-released/

It was modified into futuristic helicopter, but still it's yours and your name is in the credits now. Thank you for awesome model!

Love the movie dude... top notch stuff. Thanks so much for the credit-I know you didn't have to do that. Keep up the great work.
