My little texturing practice. I still don't know how to fix seems.
You can fix seems a good number of ways. I try to UV unwrap so that the seam is running along a surface with a change of colour/texture or possibly a sharp edge, so it's harder to notice. If this isn't possible, there's always the option of going into texture paint mode and doing a bit of blending to remove the seam. If you go to blendercookie.com they have many tutorials on texturing
I tried to use clone tool in texture paint mode but it isn't work I don't know why maybe because of this I have few textures ;/.
Did you try placing the 3d cursor on the texture you want to clone?
shrugs I can't fix seams either (well I can through workarounds, they just take time) so I just try to make sure the UVW map is laid out in a way where seams are kept to a minimum and in places where they won't be seen ^^"
