2 questions. Is that a jet-pack and are those wings?

I going to explain why my character has a jetpack, He is a kind of gargoyle and he only can glide, he can't fly only glide, but with the help of the jetpack, he can do it. he can fly very fast and he can takes off from anywhere without the need to find a high place to do it. it's so simply like that.

Ok, we are getting somewhere. So, I have one more question. Can he glide using only the jetpack or he is more like an plane where the jet pack is the engine and the wings are.....the wings?!?!?

he need the wing to glide, the jetpack is like a engine only, he have the capacity to turn it off in anywhere the jetpack and glide, if he wants to landing in the top of a building, he has to turn it off the jetpack after to landing or he will get seriour injuries lol
