Modesigne, the numbers and symbols you see are the actual .blend-file. Rather than clicking on the download button, you should right-click and “Download Linked File As…”, then save it somewhere on your harddisk
Im using 2.56 – some of the bones do not do anything (eyebrows) and some simply do not move at all (cheeks/jaw/lips…) Any help?

If you compress the 26m file into a 7z archive it results into a 5mb archive
, very good work but I have problems opening this file in blender 2.49

I sort of assumed people would know but this file will not work with 2.49 because it is a 2.5 file. Most 2.5 files wont work in 2.49. I do have .zip and .7zip files available elsewhere but blendswap asks for .blends to keep things simple.
As a reminder I do plan to update the file for 2.57 but not backwards for 2.49. Too much effort and most of the rig wouldn’t work the same anyway.

Hey, I don’t know but the file won’t open. It just keeps loading, loading, and nothing happen.
Hi Alexandre – not sure what is going on specifically, but planning to update the file for 2.57b before the week is out. This download is for Blender 2.56 trunk, nothing more or less recent.

If you check out our twitter feed, we’re having issues with the .gz wrapper, we’re working on it. Will hopefully have it fixed today. This model should work fine now. Thanks for letting us know it didn’t work.
Thank you. Now it works to load in Blender 2.49b (Linux), but seem’s to be distorted a bit etc.
If i try to load it in Blender 2.57.1 (Linux), it crashes Blender

@Ingo, this file is now outdated. It is for Blender 2.56 official release only. There is a more up to date version for the official release of 2.57b on Blendswap, but we aren’t allowed to update individual files, just post new ones. Search for ‘sintel’ on the site and its pretty easy to find.
Pleasantly surprised it works somewhat in 2.49, never tried.
Also, there were some reports of this particular file crashing on certain Linux machines, probably due to an opengl bug that has since been fixed in 2.57b and that hasn’t been an issue using the updated Sintel Lite file.
