This is an updated version of Cartoon Guy with some changes upon requests that have been made.
Some of the modifications include:
- New face rig slider UI via the N(property) panel of the 3D view shown when jaw is selected
- Eye target lock control and pupil shrink controls shown when eye target is selected
- A third control for each eyebrow
- 2 Light setups and a camera that actually points toward the character
- Optional IK stretch for arms and legs
- Extra controls for cartoony deformations
- Stretchy neck and torso
- Extra spine controls
If I missed any of the suggested changes or you think of something else that would be cool in the rig I’ll try my best to make it happen.

Very appealing character
just a quick rigging tip that might help in the future
since 2.5, you no longer need to need empties to hook up your lattices
you can hook them straight up to the armature bones
(this makes more a cleaner set-up and makes it easier to select parts when you are rigging)

i am using blender 2.56 since 2.57 is not available for OSX 10.4
This is a great Rig…
For some reason, I am not able to control a few things like, the brows, the mouth pucker, the cheek puffs and a few more, while the rest of the things are working just fine.
I tried checking, and the drivers for many are showing up in red in the graph editor and saying, ” ERROR: Invalid Target “.
Any help would be great.

This is indeed a great Rig. But, I am facing a few difficulties. The eyebrows are not moving and many more face controls are not working. The body is working fine.
The Drivers for the same are showing an “Error: Invalid target” message even when the variable is selected as rig and the bone name.
Do you know how can this be solved?
I am using blender 2.56 on a OSX 10.4.11
I downloaded 2.56 and fixed the problem. The driver settings were there but the shapekeys had no drivers themselves. There should be a new file on this site soon for the 2.56 version.
